My research focused on understanding how patterns of human activity can be used to predict nitrogen availability in cities. More specifically, I identified which variables (e.g. median household income and time since development) best predicted gradients of nitrogen pollution and fertilizer in cities. Ultimately, my research can be used to help mitigate poor air and water quality.
